Ditto Matty. I had my bike picture lined up, in case no one else took it up. Love your public art. Sure makes a change from the usual form of public art - graffiti. Occasionally you do get the odd surprise, this was a village school wall taken in Greece a couple of years ago.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Time is up to meet the above Challenge; I'm posting my own pic to meet it. Kilted at the historic statue in Fredericksburg, VA of Scottish American Revolutionary/French & Indian War/Jacobite rising of 1745 hero, General Hugh Mercer .

NEXT CHALLENGE: Kilted with at least two other kilties doing the "Hamish"!

That is going to be even tougher than the last to meet. For the previous one all I could come up with was the local war memorial, but it is a memorial, not a monument nor would I call it truly historic, being only in the last century. The alternative was the local mill buildings, which are certainly historic, dating from the 18th century but are buildings not monuments.

Okay, this Challenge is overdue for a response and yes, it wasn't easy but not impossible. So I'm posting my own photo to meet it and to start a new Challenge.
Taken at the XMTS Meet Up at the Virginia Scottish Games.

As promised to tpa an easy peasy challenge..... NEXT CHALLENGE: Kilted lifting your favorite beverage!

Good as your word Mael, I'll hold off to see if we can draw some other members in.
Looks like you certainly do your Highland Games in style in Virginia. 2 full days; even the Braemar Gathering, held on the same weekend in Scotland only runs for one day over here, but you can go to another not very far away the next day and another very close to that the next weekend and one a bit further away the weekend after that. So I guess quality is sacrificed to quantity.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Sorry about that GrainReaper, I had given up on anyone else taking it up, however just nip outside and get your wife to take another. You can even take the beer with you.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
