I hope my dear friend in Whynot, North Carolina decides to order at least one new Dull and Boring kilt. I'll let him know they will soon be available.

For a boring and dull (rather than Boring and Dull) tartan I put forward anything the Allen brothers invented.

I love the tartan and I found the story quite amusing.
Also amusing (highly so) was the gallery at the end of the article showing odd Scottish placenames.
The first picture in the gallery shows the Jimmy Shand statue in Auchtermuchty.
A colleague of mine, when he was a reporter on a Glasgow paper, used to cover town council meetings in Auchtermuchty. He says they would always do their best to discuss the most interesting agenda items “before Wee Bobbie has tae catch the bus back tae Glasgie”.
    Regards,
    Mike
