    I have seen all sorts of makes and models on the net, and most have a carved wooden sheath done like the handle is done. Mine has this, and it stays put just fine.

    I cheat and have the knife on a leather strap-so even if hill walking/scrambling it cannot get lost--then over that goes sock and garter.
