Ha! I didn't even notice! Perhaps I never saw your... backside!

I do clearly remember seeing one at the San Diego Games last year, a gent walking along in front of me.

Sadly, at our Games nowadays, for every nice hand-made wool kilt one sees several canvas utility kilts and cotton sports kilts and the like.

Aye, an' there's the rub! If you didn't notice, Richard, neither do the vast, vast majority of folks. I like mine for the variety, and because it's significantly lighter in weight and warmth for summer, but to be honest, I'm far more likely to wear my red Sinclair tank.

Only on XMarks is there a wide-spread likelihood of noticing it.

I cannot ever recall seeing a box pleated kilt of that style(civilian box pleat?) in the wild.

    I'm sure you'll love yours.

I love mine! For what it's worth, the hose in the second picture are also from John.
Father Bill Thank you for posting rear view of your four yard with box pleats. I have never seen a clear photo showing how Box pleats lay and do not show vertical white stripe. Looks smart. Is that a heavy or medium weight.
My current Kilt is seven yard twelve ounce with thirty one knife edge pleats. Good summer weight and dancing Kilt.
Was made to seven yard to match pleat pattern to apron tartan. Thirty five year old kilt mad to old style two strap fastening.
Am considering next possible move after delivery of 8 yard sixteen ounce winter weight Black Cornish Tartan Kilt.
Delivery two months ,Eighth on list, two and a half days to make kilt. Made locally in Cornwall, by local kilt maker.
Material ordered separately from Scotland for each Kilt. Roderick Powell.

Wow Father Bill, seeing that Hunting Sinclair box pleater makes me think that I need one too! I have a knife pleated Sinclair Red, but this one is calling me!

Nice to see it being worn with correct amount of rise, under the rib cage, as well.
