I will definitely be there, and have also added to my collection of kilts since we last gathered: Lamont Ancient (TWO of them, no less, one pure wool and one acrylic), Lamont Weathered (pure wool, with piper's sash!) and a solid black leather cargo pocket kilt, to wear with that full-tail skunk fur sporran--with the integrated skinning knife/sheath--I was telling you about. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. LET'S PARTY!

I had a great time last night, though I regret not having a jacket to put over my wife's shoulders, towards the end she was getting cold.
I'm very happy to have gotten to meet up with a few of you, and happy to meet a few new friends along the way.
My wife never attends these sort of things and was amazed at just how much attention you get when arriving to a pub with pipes skirling, she wasn't expecting people to stand let alone cheer and clap.

My girlfriend always borrows one of my fly plaids for these events,as she did yesterday (from my Honour Of Scotland kilt). She enjoyed meeting your wife and said this was her favorite Chicago Scots Pub Crawl so far. The piping was REALLY good--those guys blew their TAILS off!
So here we are (GrainReaper and DyerStraits), The Skunk Bothers, like some wacky, 1960s "Salt And Pepper" Kilted Komedy Duo:

I was NOT as inebriated as I look...I'm just getting old and less photogenic.

Yes, his sporran was pretty ridiculous, but damn sweet! The tail sorta looked like it was from a husky.

It's so ugly it's beautiful. My girlfriend thinks they should jack up the jail and throw me underneath it for possessing it, but of course when I saw it on eBay I just HAD to have it. The fact that I own stuff like that--and am unafraid to wear it in public--is yet another sign that I'm not a self-conscious youngster anymore...

Hm, now there's a morbid idea for a pets afterlife....
Good lord, I just imagined my little rat terrier folded up into a full face sporran...can you imagine? Of course, this thing probably already exists for all I know.
