New to the board but not to the Kilt
Hello there,
I have recently learned of this forum. I started wearing a kilt when I joined a highland regiment in the 1970's. In civilian life, I never thought of wearing anything that made me stand out. However as I got older I became more comfortable with my family history, and chose my maternal clan (my father was Irish and French but my mother was Scottish). I ordered my first clan kilt (in contrast to the military kilt) four years ago.

Welcome, from another Irish/French and Scot offspring. Which Clan are you wearing? I wear my mother's but we recently took care of having a tartan for the Irish/French

Well met fellow veteran. Isn't it funny how aging brings clarity to our inner tastes and opinions of self. Welcome from another "odd and old guy" that found like minded people.
