A Scots thesaurus: 421 terms for snow

The words in this new study come from throughout history and all dialects of Scots so we need to remember that, for example, Shetland words could be unintelligible to an Aberdonian. To be pedantic, Scots (apart from a few borrowings) is not a "Celtic language" but it's hard to see which forum would have been more suitable.
