Found a Harris Tweed on Ebay for those it will fit!

    Greetings All,

I apoligize in advance if this is posted to the wrong section.

Was browsing Ebay today, found what looks like a good deal on a grey tweed argyle. Too small for me, but hopefully one of my fellow Xmarkers can take advantage!

    Reading the description,
I thought that if your chest measured 40, then the size is 40, but the CUT would be larger for movement. So if a JACKET is measured as 40, it would be for a measured CHEST of 36. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken....

Sorry, that's exactly what the description says LoL. For some reason my iPad had an issue with the text on the listing, made it jumbled and hard to read....
...or I'm stroking out right now...

Indeed you are correct, I have learned to go up 2 sizes in measured jacket size, I'm a 40s if I buy it, I measure out at a 36" chest measured true

I've the same jacket in 42 and it fits me well and I wear a 42.
They (HT) must of made these for some years as you see the exact same jacket offered often.
It is a heavy tweed and very well made...stout I'd say.

Good find. Were it brown/tan I'd have that.
