Welcome from the highlands of central Massachusetts, New England. If you can't wear it in Canada, where can you? Eh?

Welcome, and as some have already said Ontario can be a very kilt friendly place. Highland games, Burns nights and scotch clubs are just a few opportunities to kilt up. Or you can do like me and take up the bagpipes and join a band or two.
cheers
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Hi and a belated but warm welcome from a rather wet Queensland.
To quote Nike - "Just do it!" It's all about self confidence, after the first time, you'll wonder what all your concern was about.
Regards, Sav.

Welcome to Xmarks, from a full-time kilted Montrealais!
As others have said, no need to be concerned, just get out there and enjoy the kilt!
You'll find that you grow used to the stares and occasional snide remark; Those are more than made up for by all the thumbs-ups, drivers honking and shouting encouragement, kind compliments, and somewhat nervous smiles from the ladies. If I had to guess, I'd put the positive to negative reaction ration at something like 50:1!
Regards,
Mathew

My family is from Ontario.
Welcome, Crossesfour, to the site. I've only been here a short while, myself. My ancestors came from Ontario. My surname is Weatherhead. (I've traced it to Berwickshire, Scotland, via Ontario Canada. My dad's mom is a Casey (Irish). Basically, I had a lowland Scotsman, marry an Irish lass, in Ontario. I'm sure if I tried hard, I could locate many relatives there. Anyway, maybe I'll visit someday.
