Oregon pipe and dance lessons?
Hello Xmarkers. I'm going to be moving out to Oregon around the first of the year and was wondering if there was anyone who taught the pipes around the Lincoln City/Newport area. Also my daughter has been showing an interest in highland dancing so I'll be looking for classes on that as well. Any suggestions would be spectacular.

I hope you are able to find classes for both you and your daughter. I've been (poorly learning) the sword dance on my own. I would practice more with a troop, visualize posture and technique better if I joined a class. I'm glad you recognize the need for yourselves. Good luck.

As far as dance goes, this is a great resource for finding a teacher: http://www.discoverscottishdance.com/find-a-teacher/
Additionally, if there is not a teacher near where you will be living, many teachers now offer lessons via Skype (which can be much more effective than you might think!)
I'm a certified teacher in Michigan, but am happy to help in whatever way I can to connect you to a dance instructor.

Thanks I got connected to a pipe band in the Eugene area and their going to contact their membership to see if there are instructors for both the pipes and dance closer to where I;m going to be living. Still if anyone else had suggestions feel free.
