Jacket For Rehearsal Dinner
My daughter is getting married and I am in the market for a jacket to wear with my kilt to the rehearsal dinner (no luck on wearing it to walk her down the aisle...yet) and I have been looking at Rocky's Wallace jacket and vest. I have to be in his area next week and will be visiting his shop to hopefully get his thoughts and a new vest and jacket. I have one of Rocky's casual kilts (in addition to my Duncan Chisholm 8 yarder) and love the quality and feel. It is such a great kilt to be so inexpensive so I thought I would try some of his other products.
Does anyone have the Wallace jacket? If so, what are your thoughts about it? Thanks!

I own the Wallace jacket and waistcoat from USA Kilts. Frankly, it's just my style. To my eye, no epaulets and plain cuffs give a cleaner look.

I have one of the grey Braemar jackets that they stock. If you are looking for a lighter color jacket, I would recommend it. I have received numerous compliments.

I made it to the store yesterday afternoon to look at jackets. Met Lucas who was working out front (very knowledgeable and helpful!), he asked questions about where/when I would be wearing the jacket and we discussed the pros and cons of both a tweed and Wallace. After taking quite a bit of his time discussing, trying on different sizes, he helped me arrive at a decision and I am now patiently waiting for a darker grey tweed that will be styled much like the Wallace (I also got a black mink dress sporran )...I am very excited for the next 8-10 weeks to pass quickly.
Thanks to Lucas for your time, patience and help! Rocky has a great looking retail area and I would encourage anyone who is in the area (I made a two hour drive from Newark) to make the trip and stop by.

That is a fine looking sporran. It's on my wish list.
