Royal Marines/Scots Guards in San Diego, Feb 2016

Discounted ticket link (not sure how long that will last)

Copley Hall, Sunday Feb 21, 2016. I'll be headed out of town on business, boo, but maybe some of our SD area kilties can represent!

"The sounds of Scotland come marching into Jacobs Music Center for a whirlwind performance of precision drills, haunting bagpipes and energetic Highland dancing. When not fulfilling its ceremonial duties, the Band of the Royal Marines and the Pipes and Drums of the Scots Guards tours the world, mesmerizing audiences with its rhythms and repertoire, which includes popular classics and contemporary works. Now you can marvel at the distinguished band's grand display of pageantry and ancient military traditions at this awe-inspiring International Passport Presentation in San Diego."

Yes that's the tour which was originally listed as being the Black Watch and the Royal Marines. Note that the photo shows the Black Watch, and not in the military uniform in which they would have appeared, but in the civilian garb that they wear when competing at Highland Games.

I'll be attending their Orange County performance (Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts) on February 20th.

Just to get in the mood, here's the Pipes & Drums of The Scots Guards in Full Dress

Ah, thanks for the clarification! I saw your other thread but obviously thought this was something different, given the name variation.
