FS: 16oz. wool (Marton Mills) kilt
I wanting to sell my 10 yard, 16 ounce, hand sewn, Scottish National. It is ten yards because I had it pleated to the stripe and in order for it to come out right they needed to make it longer (that's what they told me...and they didn't need to tell me anything).
It is a 36" waist with a 22" drop. This is a beautiful kilt, and in absolutely pristine condition. Perfect for someone wanting to get into a first premium wool kilt. The "swing" is incredible.
I am selling it because I am jonesing for a MacQueen (Reproduction--Dalgleish).
The Scottish National is an "open" tartan so anyone can wear it.
Sold!
Excuse the photos the dark in the sett is actually a dark navy

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Well, despite earlier indications (I hadn't worn the kilt for a year or so) The smallest waist it will fit is a 36". I'm a 36 and I have to close it on the first (closest to the apron) hole.
There's five holes in the strap, each about 3/4" apart. So, figure...what?...36"-40".
edited for punctuation and clarity

Drat, my waist never gets over 35 inches during the year. Thanks for checking.

I shouldn't really say this because the kilt may be sold but...
You know...the buckle could easily be moved. And then you'd have room to "grow" during the year, and years to come. I'm just the opposite--sometimes during the year I get down to 35".
Just a thought...
