    Glen Carron style jacket?

I accidentally came across this site for a Kilt Hire Shop in Scotland.

Scroll down to see the "Glen Carron" outfit:

To say that is outfit isn't my cup of tea is putting it mildly.

Looks to me like the collar is turned up showing the lining? Or a jacket made to create that appearance?

When I pipe at weddings at which the Groom and Groomsmen have hired their kilt outfits I'm often put in the position of explaining how things are to be worn. If I saw a Groom in this jacket I'd say "wait a minute, let me help you, your collar needs to be turned down" only to discover that it's made to be that way.

    Looks like the Austrian/Bavarian Trachtenjacken.
Different style: why not, but there are better designs out there.

    Looks like 1960s meets 1860s

I did like the Nehru style jacket of the 1960's. But the length of a Nehru jacket for kilt would seem too squat without a proper collar in my view. Here's a modern Nehru I found on a wholesale Men's shop.
The length is described, "to mid thigh".

Stand-up collars appear on several highland doublets: Sheriffmuir, Montrose, Kenmore etc. but not generally in a different colour. This one is a hybrid that IMHO just does not work.
