While a staunch fan of the "traditional-modern" wool tartan 4 to 8 yard kilt, 'must admit equal affection for the 5.11 TDK style with pockets galore.
Sometimes, around home, etc., the sporran is not worn and one wishes a traditional kit might have a pocket sufficient to hold the smallest Swiss Army Knife and comb and a pen...maybe auto's key and small wallet if an extemporaneous drive-out is needed.
...not an issue when clad in a multi-pocket safari type shirt, but with a tee or jumper, the lack of pockets on a traditional kilt are "sometimes" missed.
Hmm. Time to ponder a waist pouch....
