I agree. The Glengarry I think always looks smart to me. Don't forget to post pictures if you can.

I will be interested to hear what you decided to wear and hope that you may be able to share some photos.

While I like a balmoral personally, with the constant on/off-on/off the glen I would think would be easier to stow on your person when boarding the ships repeatedly.

Well the park's "Holiday" at sea event has come and gone. Here is a picture of what I wore. I am afraid that I broke most of the rules of THCD as put forth on this site.
1. I wore a Glengarry
2. I wore a fly plaid
3. I wore a rouche tie
4. I wore white hose
5. I wore matching tartan flashes
But, in my defense, I got compliments going to, while at, and coming home from the event. (I took the bus to and from the event)

Ha, well at least you knew the "rules" before you broke them. Hope you had a great day. Beautiful kilt, BTW.

Looks great! Love the tie - rouche tie looks similar to the cravat, different name for the same thing?

As the side discussion between Jock, Douglas and me pertains to Phil's choice, the Glengarry gives the sense of leadership (as a guide for the groups) where a balmoral may make him appear as "one of the guys". Either hat would have worked, because I expect no other visitor was donning that style of headwear. That would be for Phil to clarify.
The ensemble works and will be remembered along with the tour's other attractions.

Where did that idea come from? I really fail to grasp that one bonnet is "superior" from the other. Yes, I quite understand and accept a personal choice but not anything else.
