And here is this Friday's classroom photo. My young lady was excited because she wore her tartan and wee sporran in hopes that I would be in a kilt and we would match. :-)

Oh, my...alas and alack...this is the first Friday in the last three or four months that I have not worn a kilt. I stayed in my sleep-attire nearly all day - I needed to catch up on website maintenance so never got properly dressed - all day. Well, gotta pay the bills somehow...

Those flags growing out of your skull must be awfully painful.

One of the residents of the community I manage lamented that she wanted a photo of me to send to her son who is proud of his Scottish ancestry, but didn't have her camera. Never fear I replied and now she can.

Like any other Friday, I was Kilted today at the office. I stopped at the corner Gas Station for a coffee before walking to the bus stop. (Public Transit to work every day in Atlanta.) As I left, the local constabulary (Police Officers) pulled up nextto me to inform me that they appreciated my kilt. Followed with a "... and I'm not kidding." The folks at the station are used to seeing me kilted as I wear a kilte there frequently. I guess the officers never paid any attention to the kilted man at the bus stop on Fridays.
Today was also the Office Christmas luncheon. The wait staff and hostesses at the local Italian restaurant were all very complimentary. (16 oz Campbell, White Oxford shirt with a V-neck pullover vest... Standard brogues Bavy hose with BW Flashes.)

Wore my 511 TDK Khaki kilt out to a chain sandwich shop, a chain coffee shop and then to a chain grocery store. Was filling two buggies of food for food boxes to give to those in need when a gentlemen asked me did I forget something. I checked my buggy and said I didn't think so. His reply was "Wheres your pipes!"

My wife and I attended my company Christmas dinner this evening at a local steakhouse. I was kilted, she wore her Irish cape, and we had a great time. No photos...she hates having her picture taken. I've given up on that after 16 years.

Seems to be the only connection some people make. I was asked on FB the other day: "why are you wearing bagpipes dress?".
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

The company had its annual holiday party. Each year they alternate between a formal affair and a casual "theme' party. This year it was formal, or more precisely, "black tie optional".
I went with basic black, with tie and flashes to match my darling wife's dress.
Crap cell phone photo. There was a professional photographer, but I expect we won't get those pics for a couple of weeks.
And NOBODY asked me where my bagpipes were.
