Just got my second UT kilt, a Deluxe Utility. It's in dark grey. I think I'm gonna wear the plain brown sporran I got for wearing with my wool kilt (supposed to be here tomorrow). This because due to the sad state my body has come to be in the front apron hangs a bit oddly with utility kilts. I have a khaki admin pouch that serves as sporran for the khaki kilt. My Cabela's wader socks will still be in evidence regardless of khaki, grey or Scottish National as it's a tid bit nibbly round here just now. (As my middle boy would have put it.)

There's a particular brown leather colour that looks fantastic with charcoal grey, I've seen it a few times. For example a friend has ghillies that colour brown that he wears charcoal grey hose with.

There was an XMarker here with similar

If you scroll down a bit you can see Hamish with a grey tweed kilt and a brown sporran. Imagine the tweed a charcoal and the sporran a tad lighter and that's the combination I've seen.

Thanks. I think it'll work though its a 'brighter' grey than most of those.

Always the contrarian (and not a belt person) I think it looks better without and with a sporran but that's just me and it would be very boring if we all looked the same !

Looks good! I have bought a few chunky belts to go with my kilts as the clichéd Kilt Belt with Celtic patterns / Saltire / Lion Rampant (delete as applicable ) doesn't do it for me... sometimes a sporran makes a casual kilt look too busy, and I am forever sliding mine to one side when I sit...

I definitely need to buy some more belts

Compac, my wide belt thing is a lot the same. I am not comfortable cinching down the kilt to do all the "holding" in it's structure. Therefore the cinched wide belts. Too loose and when I enter or leave the high drivers seat of my pickup truck I end up playing "spin the kilt". The act of sitting or standing should not dishevel your attire to the point you have "primp" in the middle of a parking lot.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.
