Welcome from a fellow new guy in Michigan. I also started out with a cargo kilt and quickly the addiction grew.

A warm Scottish welcome from middle England.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Californian
Hello, from yet another Californian - but since I"m in China at the moment, maybe that's moot. I started out at Camp Pendleton Marine Base hospital, seven years in Long Beach and the Nevada County for a big chunk of my life. I'm aiming for between Portland and Eugene, OR, where I understand Highland Games are held yearly. Totla Newbie here as well - and I welcome any input. I'm in search of MacDonalds, MacCleans and Neals - Tyree and Isle of Mull. Anyone?
