Ulster kilt

This is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone might have or might know where I could find an affordable kilt in an Ulster or Londonderry tartan? I'm looking for around a 34-36 waist measurement. Thank you all!

I browsed through scotweb one of our advertisers for the ulster tartan and I found it depending on what weight and colour the cheapest was £333 but I don't know if that includes the 10% discount for being a member usually a green bar comes up mentioning the discount but when I went through the link at the partners box above it didn't show. Has anyone else come across this problem.
But the tartan is a nice one but it's worth asking our other advertisers to see what they can do as I'm not sure how much customs cost going to the US

Is it the modern Ulster you are looking for, and what do you think about 4 yard boxed pleat kilts?

I don't really have a preference per style of kilt, but I am looking for the modern "weathered" tartan.

From what I've seen, the most commonly sold variant of the Ulster tartan is the red (i.e., modern) sett. Finding an inexpensive weathered version would therefor be unlikely, unless you could get one used.

Those look nice! If I am not mistaken, isn't the red tartan believed to be the original and the gold/brown tartan a "copy" of the dug aged version? Both are very beautiful tartans!

Yes, it's an interesting story about how the tartan was pulled out of a bog looking all golden brown, but that they were able to deduce what the original red-based sett looked like.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the help! I am new to kilts, and I wanted one that has a connection to my family history. I'll probably go with something basic from Stillwater kilts for camping/hiking until I can save up for the Ulster tartan.

I recently became acquainted with Matthew Newsome's website and his articles and have developed an interest in that style of kilt. May I inquire as to your experience with them?
