    They did experiment with the serged hems and other ideas in 2007 and earlier. I have two vintage Utilikilts with serged hems - one the Original Old Standard made in 2003 the other a Jean Cut made in 2007. My Original old standard has the stitching you show but it has it all the way around the rump line. Yours is probably genuine. It DOES have the Logo stitched on the rear pocket - either the straight triple F or the circle triple F ? Both of these logos are copywrited. Steve was fighting poachers even back then.

    Thanks tundramanq! I had not seen the serged edge before. It definitely has the Utilikilt logo on the pocket with a Utilikilt size tag. So, it looks like it may well be the real deal!
