    I don't know what method is normally used but a magnetic 'snap' would probably do the job.

    My Kate McPherson full mask does not have a snap enclosure of any sort. The head assembly lifts up to expose the pouch interior. The head is long enough that you'd have to stand on your head (in a kilt) to have anything fall out.

    My full mask Muskrat likewise has no closure. The weight of the flap alone, keeps it closed plenty well enough.

    Thanks guys! I rather thought that might be the case. I have some nice supple leather (reclaimed off an old couch) which I'll be putting to use. I think a $14 sporran sounds like a winner!
