Quite right. The custome garment is a newer offer of theirs. I agree they are not the most knowledgable. The in-house product is lower-end kilt-for-hire stuff. They are sellers of
"The Kilt" in acrylic for their standard fare. I do own one in Black watch. It's exactly what I wanted it for. A pub-kilt. That they market it to be paired with a PC for weddings is a whole other issue I would have. So many other hire-shops carry proper kilts in PV or wool. I love shopping local when possible. I have voiced this many places before. Problem is, ther is no local retailer of solid, quality Highland wear.
I'm saving my pennies for something from either Rocky or Steve right now. Looling for a local to make on if I get lucky in the interim. I want a few and am really working to save my pennies. I want 16oz wool ideally. If I am to go full-time like I want next year, I want the best quality and durability I can get.
