I have to say I really enjoy the organic nature of group conversation, especially among individuals who share a common set of interests. While I know forums must be divided by topics to preserve some sense of order, I absolutely love how this thread has turned out. So much useful information and varying perspectives have been introduced. It's also interesting to me that doesn't appear to be one simple answer either. Thanks to everyone who has taken (and is taking) part in this conversation.

Nobody here has said it is offensive to wear the white cockade - and I and others have encouraged merovingian to do so.

What has been criticized is uncritical and sentimental assessments of the Jacobite cause.

Cool. I'll continue to wear it. I personally have no assessment of the Jacobite cause, sentimental or otherwise.
