Have agree with you. I enjoyed the whole thing. Yes, I did think the kilts were a wee long, but the entire performance was rocking. By the way, the only sad thing to me, is that I am only about seven months older than Madonna. She is in better shape. She is richer. She can still move. Dang. I am jealous. LOL

Dont feel bad. The better shape and movement is probably due to the excessive cash. I'd like to think she is not as happy as the rest of us. Oh, that probably didn't help.

How can these people prostitute Scotland's National attire in such a way? Being accomplished pipers gives them absolutely no excuse to not knowing how the kilt should be worn-----------and "I was only following orders" as an excuse, just will not do!

I'm sure that piper has been wearing Highland Dress most of his life, but when you're making your living as a musician, you learn to do what you are told.

I can't imagine how much that piper would make on tour with Madonna... plenty, I'm sure.

I only went on a tour once, a far more modest act, and in two weeks made what I make at my "real job" in six months.

Come on now, it's a Madonna show: You go to listen to the music, not to observe the fashion. I still have bruises from the time I went to watch Top Gun with the wife and couldn't stop complaining about errors and liberties that the movie took over the Naval Regulations that were in effect at the time of the movie production. And I'm sure that the crew will be hearing about it enough from their friends who know how to dress properly.

I saw this video when it first came out and read a thread on the BDF (Bob Dunsire forums) about the story behind the story. The piper (don't recall his name, but he is a well-known piper of some renown) showed up to practice with a kilt of appropriate length and construction and Madonna was having none of it. Those kilt lengths and costumes are all on her. The piper, just as Richard observed, did what the boss required. You know about the Golden Rule: (s)he who has the gold makes the rules. His technique was great and I am impressed by anyone who can throw in choreography with great play earns my respect. As far as Madge goes, she is a pop musician and that is the large grain of salt with which we should take this.
