What a night!
My band had a show last night as one of the supporting acts for Kiefer Sutherland's band. We took the stage after his band. We got there at 8pm, but didn't take the stage until 11:30pm. While his music isn't my cup of tea, he was really good. Finally, it was time for us to set up. Now, the stage was set up in the middle of this bar..so people can wander all around the stage. I was on the bartender side of the stage, so there were lots of people sitting there. I'm setting up my equipment and hear a female's voice saying, "Just stick your phone under there and do it!" I looked over my shoulder and saw a group of 3 women grinning and looking guilty. The elected spokesperson for the group asked me.."Are you wearing anything under that?". I grinned and replied "Just my shoes!". That got the ladies all in a tizzy and told me to prove it. I had to disappoint them. The spokesperson asked if she could take a picture with me gave me a peck on the cheek.
We finally got setup and soundchecked and started playing. All in all, the show went very well. We got to the last song in our set and I looked out in the crowd and saw Kiefer standing there, rocking out to our rendition of "Children of the Grave" and shouted for an encore (we obliged).
It was a great night and we had a lot of fun. I had lots of compliments on my kilt, as well as a lot of flirtatious grins from the ladies.
I know I know..pics or it didn't happen. Excuse the quality.

My band...before I joined...got to play with Rod Stewart here in Denver...but, I do have to admit, my first gig that I played with my band was quite interesting....it was on St. Patrick's Day a few years ago, and it was my first time playing for some Scottish dancers that were there performing....well, a few pints later after we were done playing, one of the dancers and I were talking and she asked me what we wore under the kilt...well, me being the type of person I am asked her if her hands were warm, next thing I knew......well, you guessed it...right up under me kilt.....I was redder than a fire truck. Still, one of the best St. Paddies days ever....

I almost came back with that reply, but thought the better of it with my wife nearby and how inebriated the girl was.
