BTW, don't think you have to have a matching waistcoat to the jacket . Yes I have a number of jacket/ waist coat sets, but also have just as many waistcoats that contrast the colour of the jacket, same with material, I have tweed.doeskin.new wool in different weights.

I found a Harris tweed jacket at the thrift store, and my sweetie, carolinanan117, converted it for me.

1: I live in the AZ desert, so I might go with a lighter weight jacket.
2: My wife can sew, but I think I'll hire a lady who does alterations, for her business. She does a really professional job.
