You look Mahvelous (Billy Crystal quote)

I like the jacket and vest. I'm always looking at Ebay for stuff, too. I boughtName: new kilt pin, blue.jpg

Size: 1.5 KB this wee kilt pin. Also looking for another sporran, (much to my wife's chagrin), not so shiny as the one I have. As far as jackets go, I found some nice regular suitcoats (blazers) at a local thrift store. I think I'll buy one, and take it to a local seamstress, and have her alter it, make it shorter. That's about the only way I can do it, and not spend a bundle of $$. But, I really like your coat and vest....great find.

There are loads of jacket conversion threads, I used bits from several to do my own conversion on a thrift store tweed.

And as for the eBay jacket, all I ever find in my size are Pakistani PC jackets.

BTW, don't think you have to have a matching waistcoat to the jacket . Yes I have a number of jacket/ waist coat sets, but also have just as many waistcoats that contrast the colour of the jacket, same with material, I have tweed.doeskin.new wool in different weights.

I found a Harris tweed jacket at the thrift store, and my sweetie, carolinanan117, converted it for me.

I like your jacket, too. However,

1: I live in the AZ desert, so I might go with a lighter weight jacket.
2: My wife can sew, but I think I'll hire a lady who does alterations, for her business. She does a really professional job.
3: So, you're a thrift store shopper, also, eh? Hello brother.

    Brilliant find Isaac!

That looks like something Edinburgh or Rothsay would wear. It's brilliant. Great snag, sir. Good man!
