Flew my colors today

Flew my Irish flag (sort of). Has a shamrock in the middle, so it's not the real thing. Anyway, right after I went outside, and put the flag up, I received a text from a friend, that the neighbor up the street had just passed away. He was an 88-year-old WWII/Korea vet. A Marine. We knew him, had been neighbors for several years. My wife works at the VA clinic, and saw him there, regularly. We went to the same church. He passed today, St. Patrick's day.
