Can't seem to stop the emails

I don't want people's posts to come across as an email. So, I went to the general settings, and clicked all the boxes (or so I thought), to stop the emails. But I still receive them. What am I doing wrong?

Can you clarify what kinds of emails you are receiving? Are they notifications of new posts, or replies to your posts, or what? Maybe copy one of the emails into a reply to this thread.

Perhaps simply unsubscribing from the thread. At the top of the section where the posts begin, there is a menu called Thread Tools. From that menu you can select "Unsubscribe from this thread"
