    Hello from Bill

    Hi everyone,

I just ordered a five-yard wool kilt (U.S. Air Force unofficial tartan) and Argyll jacket&vest from USA kilts. I am a piper and am scheduled for an event April. My kilt will arrive by then, but not the jacket and vest. Can I wear a white shirt and tie?
My hose will be lovat blue to match with the kilt, and my flashes will be red, as there is some red in the tartan. I have also ordered a lovat blue tie.
    Thanks

And I think a lovat tie, white shirt and lovat hose will do you just fine in a pinch

    from Texas.

To answer your question, you are in Florida (?) a wool jacket and vest might be a bit warm. Unless this is something indoors and dressy, the shirt sounds fine to me.

Welcome to the club! I think a white shirt and tie are a solid choice, and are generally what I wear when I play.
