The alert sent me straight to the 5.11 site where I bought four kilts, two in my current size, and two in the size I hope to be before too much longer. I love the TDK. Wish I could go into Walmart and grab one off the shelf the way I do jeans.

Just got my khaki TDK. I (which I hadn't on the previous two I bought) that like MM polyvicose, the TDK is Teflon treated and should not have fabric softener used!

They limber up after about 3 washes and hang dries. I haven't ever tried hot drying any kilt. My two new ones got the tennis ball treatment to help loosen them up.

Using 12 washed tennis balls in the drier with the kilt run the drier on cold for 5 to 15 minutes. Amazing sound effects but the kilt is a lot more flexible. Started this with the Utilikilt cotton duck Workman's as they are real stiff for a very long time. Washing the balls removes the loose factory fuzz what will transfer to the kilt if you don't pre remove it. Found this out on a black kilt with new bright yellow balls - interesting patina.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

    Love my 5.11 TDK!!

I was lucky enough to grab a khaki TDK from last year's run and love it! I'm still trying to get my "look" right but love knocking around in it as I can. As a retired LE officer I'm familiar with the durability and toughness of the 5.11 brand and this is no exception, look forward to picking up an OD green when I get the funds.

Monkey-at-Arms...now sadly MIA here on XMTS appeared at the Woodland Highland Games this past weekend in a TDK. It was a unique camoflage fabric that I liked a lot.

We're well into August and I just got a new 5.11 kilt. Some colors are limited, but they're still available.
