You and others may be interested in a thread that I started here on 17/4/2010 called something like; "16 April 2010",(it might be "April 16 2010") there are a few pictures that you may find interesting.
Sadly Peter i am elsewhere at present so will not be attending. For me though, whilst I realise full well that 16th April 2016 is an event that many will mark at the battlefield, I prefer to attend and consider the event more quietly when the crowds have left.

It was an excellent day yesterday with well over 150 people attending. It wasn’t really appropriate to take lots of pictures but this give a flavour of the gathering of the clansmen.
There was a moving and thought provoking commemoration service, mostly in Gaelic which was entirely appropriate, a piobaireachd by Euan MacCrimmon, some of John Roy Stewart’s poetry and an excellent address by Dr. Hugh Cheape that dwelt on the aftermath of the Rising and effects on Highlanders and their culture.
