I get asked to be in photos while kilted alot. It amazes me each time that someone wants a picture with a fat old stranger just because he is wearing a kilt.

I was kilted on formal night of a Caribbean cruise last month. Walking down the "Promenade" of the ship, I was asked over and over to have my picture taken with other passengers. I of course obliged...I'm sure glad my Lass isn't the jealous type!!

How true. Having just completed another Festival of Nations in the Twin Cities, I probably posed with over three dozen people, kids and adults alike, while manning the Scottish booth in the Market Square. Who knows how many of them are posted out there somewhere. It sure wasn't my wrinkled, old bearded face and figure that attracted the requests. Never underestimate the power of the kilt.
