    Kanye

Hi. I looked around a bit and didn't see this thread. If it exists, please direct me.

Now. My music taste is all over. I'm a musician. It kind of just works that way.

I'm not one to judge someone's fashion sense. However, I've been looking at kilts and kilt culture for a ling time. When I first saw Mr. West in his kilt, from the front, I thought, "Oh cool." then I saw the whole kilt. It was very bizarre. I'm not the hugest fan of Kanye as a person. He's done a lot to paint himself in a bad light. I question, heavily, why he chose to wear a kilt. And one that looked like a business skirt no less. The self proclaimed genius and thunder thief seems to be trying to make a statement. I don't know what that statement is exactly, but I doubt it's for little more than attention. How do you guys feel?

sometimes it's easier to us Google and add the URL http://www.xmarksthescot.com/ to your search terms.

Also, it can be helpful to get familiar with the forum structure. There's a Kilts in the Media forum that would have been a good place to check if it was a fairly current event.

Saturday's (the OP here) issue has been covered a few times in former threads. I remember that some performing artists are trying to make a statement (some reasons not discovered) to reflect an image of a moment.

I believe the consensus of the Rabble before was, "performing artists" are not always interested in the same values we share at XMarks. They are entertainers first and foremost. We are the kilted consortium.

Um, I am very sorry but the correct terminology is -

    The Kilted Cognizati.

It's kinda like the Illuminati of kilts.

Kanye vowed to destroy every 'skirt' picture of him after being teased by his rapper buddies in 2011, though some of this leather Givenchy creation worn over trousers, still exist on Google just to wind Kanye up

Some styles debuted by "Artists" create a look that the masses embrace. There are many that don't. My favorite was a hat worn by the band Devo. My younger brother still owns one and wears it to "retro" parties.

For this group, Mel Gibson and the Outlander series have helped recognize the kilt as real (not a costume) clothing.
