News article about our Kilt Walk for Brain Tumor Awareness

Our event is in the morning... about 9 hours from now. The local paper did a great article about the event that printed Tuesday. I just thought I would share with you guys...

I just got home from Roadkill's event. I'll let him post his photos first and give details. I personally had a blast and got the sense that everyone that attended did also. Thanks Bill.

I remember that Roadkill had several events to attend (every weekend in May). Here is one photo of some runners/walkers that participated. These are the less shy adorned in plaid of many varieties.

The piper (Eric) performed a rousing "Scotland the Brave" to get the walk started. I appreciated the touch of class in Bill's morning schedule.

I volunteered my medical abilities (not needed by anyone, thank goodness) so was able to chat with folks.
With the radio, television and newspaper coverage, (the event was also attended by the Mayor of Tupelo sans a speech and endorsement), next year could be greater for this worthy cause.

Thanks for posting those pics.I have been so busy that I have not been able to put together too many myself. Participants are beginning to post on our facebook page now. And thanks for helping out! It was great of you to be there!

Here is Eric the piper, myself and Tarheel...

The event kept me busy and I neglected to get a pic of me with my wife and sons all kilted. Oh well, there's always next year!
