US SF Memorial Day Activity

The SOF (US Special Forces/Special Operations Forces)) Community does a yearly memorial adding the name plaques of those KIA in the last year. A worthy event.
I thought of this site as there is always a Piper involved.

Thank you. I left Ft. Bragg almost 50 years ago, but still retain fond memories of my time at JFK Special Warfare School. SOCOM didn't exist in those days.

Welcome. The JFK SWCS is still there and then some. 20 years ago (whoa, that went fast) I was the CSM of the 1st SW Training Group.

You'd be lost there today it has changed so much.

No, only the PAO photog can run around during the ceremony and do that.

My nephew will hopefully be attending this year. He is not SF but tries to get down to Bragg, Paris Island, Ft. Jackson, etc. from High Point, NC. (family home) to ceremonies when he can. He served three combat tours and serves in Nat. Guard today. I know how "lifers" are consistent with remembering and honoring and I appreciate that.

The "portable Wall" (replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall) will be in Tunica, MS. over the weekend. I will do my best to attend the Sunday ceremony. Lest we Forget.
