    Heads up!!!!!!beware of any future business with usa kilts!!!!

    BEWARE OF USA KILTS!! First of all, I contacted USA kilts and spoke with Lucas with regards to purchasing four "new without flaws" hunting sporrans to which he assured me would happen with my order. To my dismay, I received those sporrans full of flaws. I contacted Lucas, and discussed an exchange and again was assured I would receive hand picked ones without any issues. After receiving the sporrans, they were worse than the ones before and I discussed a return for all those sporrans I purchased because of the poor quality and customer service. After a couple of days after being delivered I received an email that they were received and no credit until I pursued it further for a credit memo. Terrible! You survive by your customer service in today's market. Following all that rigmarole, I posted a picture to social media to which I was shocked to see the owner of USA Kilts, Rocky Roeger, posting his criticism of my post with a t-shirt on regarding a Trump t-shirt with my kilt. Where is my freedom of speech with someone with a "business" with an apparent agenda to deter off topic nonsense. He continued on with posts aren't allowed on xmarks the scot. Please do yourself a favor and don't spend good hard earned money on products and service that aren't quality controlled with USA Kilts as well as being stalked on social media. Beware of Rocky Roeger and USA Kilts!!!

    To the members of the forum: When Derek posted his review of us on Google (which he has copy pasted here), we did not respond to the comments, however since he has questioned me on a forum of which I’m an active member, I feel a little more responsible to reply. This will be my only post on this topic.

    Here’s a timeline of the events:

    April 9 - Derek ordered 4 hunting sporrans and received them.

    April 22 – Derek sent me an email explaining why he cancelled an embossed sporran hanger order saying:

    “I'm sticking with it guess I'm old fashioned, thanks! I live my hunting sporrans! Classy” [he clearly meant “love” not “live”]

    April 25 - He had concerns about the fur at the base of the hole (for the tassels). A tiny bit of fur was missing at the base of where the hole was cut out (since bovine fur grows at an angle). He asked to return those 2 sporrans for 2 more. We found the “best 2” in the shop and took detailed pictures of them. Derek approved the replacements and we sent them.

    A week later, Derek contacted Lucas and asked to return all 4 sporrans. We received them back and credited him.

    May 17 - He asked us about matching a tweed jacket to a new vest. We politely informed him that matching tweeds after the fact is difficult and that he should either contact the seller or purchase a contrasting tweed vest. We also stated that he would likely not be happy as he is a very particular customer with attention to detail.

    May 18 - Derek posted a picture of himself in a FB group in a Donald Trump shirt. When there was a bit of a kerfuffle about the politics, I (as an individual) made a neutral post that perhaps it is better to steer clear of political / weapon / religious discussions as is the rule on Xmarks. He took offense to this and unprovoked, attacked our business, our business practices, our quality and my ethics. I did not respond in kind insulting him… I just let the conversation drop.

    June 8th - USA Kilts received 2 separate orders from Derek, both for hunting sporrans (2 of the same sporrans he had previously returned). I emailed him expressing my surprise at the orders and asking him to call me. This was his response copied from his email:

    “Yes, sometimes we make off the cuff remarks. If I offended you, I'm sorry. No need to discuss, the post was removed accordingly. Have a blessed day.”

    I replied to that email recounting the events above and letting him know that unprovoked and unjust attacks on myself and my business were not acceptable and that he would be better suited ordering from another company. We cancelled both orders and refunded his money immediately.

    June 9 - I received multiple emails from him calling me names and threatening to review our company publicly, which he did.

    This will be my only response to this thread.
