Thank you for weighing in, Stephen. Good to get the information right from the regiment. I am also glad to hear that highland kit is now being included in the scale of issue -- a good sign that the highland regiments will remain a proud part of our military establishment. May I ask, what does the SDG currently wear for tunics, if not scarlets, blues or greens. Am I safe in assuming you are wearing a cut-away version of the standard issue DEU jacket?
Regarding the lovatt hose, the highland regiments in Scotland seem to have their contract with Corgi. (I am scoping some out presently on e-bay.) Perhaps you could approach them.

Yes it says

but it doesn't mention The Bowering Press, Plymouth.
Often in the UK we published that bit of information at the end of the book, often following an index. Check there.

If anyone is interested here are a few pics of the project.
I dont have any originals but it was in some pretty rough shape. This is post dry cleaning.
Here it is after polishing the buttons and putting them back on.
Strange but two of these photos wont upload in the right orientation and I dont see where to rotate as an option.
