They're made in Pakistan or India.

No knock on that guy, but you can buy the same hats directly from the makers in Pakistan and India for around $20.

They will not look good as new 30 years from now, like a Robert Mackie hat will.

I've not closely examined one of the Glengarry Hats Glengarries. I wonder if they're correctly made. Glengarries and Balmorals are knit, then formed to shape, a complex process.

The cheap Pakistani knockoffs I've seen are made from ordinary woven yardage, cut and sewn to shape, so that the finished hat looks quite unlike a Scottish-made hat.

Check replicaters.com (note the misspelt word) in India. They're the place many sellers in North America and in the UK get their "overseas" stuff.

A big place in Sialkot, Pakistan is Geoffrey. Here's their hats. They appear to be correctly made (knit) but these Pakistani and Indian firms are notorious for nicking photos off Scottish websites

I would also point out that balmorals of Glengarryhats contain much less fabric than those of Mackie.
