Welcome to the forum! I nearly purchased a piece of commercial real estate in Trinidad, located not too far from the Safeway near the theatre... I recall it had a pipe jutting from the wall, (perhaps to fill a fire truck?) I loved the cobblestone streets, historic Feel to the architecture, I thought of settling down there and opening a brewpub in that building, but it seemed too sleepy of a town to support a small brewery... I ended up in Illinois and STILL haven't found an ideal place for my brewery..

Hello GrainReaper,
I've only been in Trinidad since 2012 and it has grown in the past two years. The "pot" laws have brought business in, for sure, however, there seems to be a new resurgence of life. I know of which building you speak of. It might have been a grain operator at one point.
Trinidad is a sleepy little town that is about to be woke up! Sad in a way, but, in the end, good for the town to survive! There is a brewery on the outskirts of town in the industrial park and a new "brew-pub" in the works for next year. We still could use a bakery (which I have considered) except for the fact I love my sleep and don't really like the thought of starting my day at 3 or, even 4 in the morning.!
By the way....Colorado's winters are quite a bit more tolerable than Illinois!
Anyway, here I am, trying to figure out if I am going to have a kilt delivered to me or, if I got duped. Hoping my trust in mankind is not for naught.
Take care~

Greetings from Denver. I too was at Pikes Peak with my clan tent. Sorry to see you got hooked in by Ralph and St Kilda. I have major trust issues with him personally due to the lies he told me when I bought my kilt.

Thank you (Móran taing) for the warm welcome!
Thank you to all that have welcomed me to X Marks the Scot.
I look forward to attending more festivals and getting to know about my clan Gunn.
Right now we have started harvesting our lavender (600 plants- 4 different varieties) which I hope to find buyers. Plan on selling at the local farmer's market, but, also plan on finding other forms of selling.
Take care all clansmen and women!
