It's Prince Charles Edward. It's a new kilt made from a special length with a broad black herringbone selvedge, commissioned by the STA and woven by A. Elliot Ltd..

This tartan has been sold as such from the late 18th century so definitely not restricted in any respect. The shades in this piece were a 'special weave' so are not the general run-of-the-mill.

Maybe the same shades and same sett size for a Carolina tartan run?

Any interest? The tartans would look almost identical.

I noticed the green tartan kilt worn by the man talking to Prince Charles has sporran loops at the side of his kilt not the back and not it appears larger belt loops something I have not seen before but looks practical .
