Lucky Kampers!
It seems to me that there is some seriously good pleating going on in the City of Gardens. Well done Kampers!
I know that you will take away plenty of good learning from Barb and Steve's teaching, and enjoy Bobbi's hospitality and infectious good company. I really hope that Victoria BC is showing you a beautiful face, and for those of you who are going to (or maybe have already) take some time touring around that corner of the continent, I wish you many happy miles.
But clearly I'm looking forward to the pictures and the stories of Kilt Kamp 2016, and the photograph of my successor in the terrible tights!
Best wishes to all,
Ian

I have attended Kilt Kamp in the past. This is a great opportunity for all of you to learn a traditional and contemporary method of kilt making. Wish I was there with all of you. Have a fun week!

Alas, Ian, someone in the Kamp (! Horrors) has hidden the tartan tights. We suspect one individual "He who cannot be named" but won't accuse without proof.....

Day 4! Kampers are already here (it is not even 8 am) stitching away.....
Here are a few photos from last night's meal at The Fernwood Inn. David McIntosh (Macman) was also there and hopefully will post some of his photos....

Return the "Terrible Tights"!

Steve, please tell Kevin I am terribly disappointed, and he has to return them straight away! It's a tradition, and you can't go messing with tradition, now can you.
Look at the Kilt Kamp signature movie, 'Princess Bride'. Now some might hanker for something different, like 'Casablanca' or 'The Lavender Hill Mob' or 'Blade Runner' or 'The Third Man' or 'Apocalypse Now' or '2001 A Space Odyssey' or 'Crocodile Dundee' or 'Sound of Music' or '40,000 Horsemen' or 'Bambi' or, you know, there's probably a few more good ones - BUT does anyone want to monkey around with tradition? No!
Stone the flamin' crows, mate, even I'VE worn the tights, just show 'em the pictures!
Ah, but, please do tell Kevin that the Super Rugby final on Saturday night was a very good game, in a wet and windy Wellington NZ, between the Lions from Jo'burg in S Africa and the Wellington Hurricanes. Canes led 10-3 at half-time, and won 20-3. A good hard game.
So, may the stitching remain accurate and invisible, Kampers!
