    New Hunting Sporran

    Greetings all .

A while back I ordered a " made to order " hunting sporran from The House of Labhran , Highland Wear , Scotland .

Just received it today and thought I would share some pics with the rabble . I selected their " vintage leather " option . It is very well made and I am very PLEASED , it's a quality piece and their personal service was first rate . It also came with a leather sporran strap dyed to match the sporran .

    Cheers , Mike

( Leather is engraved with my name and theirs )

( Proportions are a little off in this pic due to angle , looks like I either have giant hands or a small sporran )

I admire the "vintage leather" for its look and feel. I am also drawn to a leather lounge chair that has had the most use. I expect it to be soft and supple.

I like the key fob and coin pocket extras. Good on you Mike.

    Sporran Envy Alert

I saw yours and immediately threw my day sporran in the trash! I'll have to retrieve it though, still has my wallet in it. Seriously though, very nice design.

That is a very nice looking sporran, and I'm envious. I'd like to see some photos with your kilt/highland attire.

Great looking sporran! I think this sort of hunting sporran is a good all-round choice. Complex enough to be interesting without being overly fancy. I made three for myself and a couple shoulder bags for my wife which were all inspired by these House of Labhran sporrans. Certainly my favorites.

I've been admiring that very sporran for some time and am thrilled to see some pictures of one that didn't come from the website. One question: is the back flexible and soft? If not, do you think it will get that way with use and time? Thanks for posting!

The back is a bit stiffer leather than the front , however , it is very flexible . The front is very supple .

Such a lovely sporran, I'm sure you will wear it for years to come with pride truly an heirloom piece that will no doubt make someone else happy when the time comes.
