If you feel the kilts were misrepresented in their posting, you might have some recourse through eBay or PayPal, if you used it.

Yes, thank you that's me conscious. Meanwhile, I have a response from the consignor.

Hi Wilhelm we will of course uplift and refund you in full that's our customer service guarantee but the "experts " who have said the kilt is 13oz are talking absolute nonsense
These kilts are made here in Scotland from 16oz wool Tailored by Glenisla the country's leading kiltmakers
These kilts were selling for between £350 and £399 at one point a few years ago
As I say if you or any other of our buyers are not 100 % happy we always look after you
However I cannot have someone who doesent know the truth say we are telling untruths definitely not on we are a company ego practice integrity our budd essential sakes depend on that We would never knowingly supply say Ill information
If you would like and other items from our store now or in future we will discount for you as a gesture of goodwill
I'm sorry it didn't work out this time hopefully next

This raises the question to me which WOOL manufacturers use and where the differences are?

Glenisla Kilts
The Glenisla website looks very questionable to me. The are two pages only. The home page is not what one would expect of a reputable kiltmaker. They claim Royal Regiment of Scotland exclusive kiltmaker, but the only labels on Royal Regiment kilts I have found on the web are Argyll label and a MOD label.

If the kilts in question are indeed made from the themed fabric, (With the woven pattern in every other square) you can simply direct the seller to the weaver.
This fabric is owned and woven only by House of Edgar. They list right on their website (Links kindly listed by another member above) that these fabrics are medium weight.
Here is a direct link to these fabrics. http://www.houseofedgar.com/acatalog...ed_Plaids.html
It is very plain from the description "While the larger sett is more appropriate for kilting this is perhaps the better choice for other apparel. "

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

Yes, Thank you, the link I had already looked at and my concerns.
But I do not want to argue with the suppliers, I just think it's very unfortunate.
