This Kilted Friday, I strapped on my Newsome Box Pleat in XMTS tartan. Cabela safari shirt with XMTS logo and Freedom sporran. One of my resident comes in to the office to pay his monthly dues and says, "I waited till Friday to see your sartorial splendor!" His companion aide tells me her cousin is in to his 'Scottishness', but is Korean. Well, the Scots are known for getting about, I tell her.

    Who else kilted up, today?

I didn't actually kilt up today, but was working on a kilt for a drummer of the Chorley, Croft, and Culcheth Pipe Band. I made several of the kilts in the photo, but not all.

    Change from usual

This Friday I was at a conference, so as a change from my usual casual acrylics, I wore one of my casual PV's! The picture is back at the B&B I am staying in.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

For only the third time this year, no Kilted Friday for me. With that super typhoon barreling towards the Pacific northwest, I had some outdoor things to take care of today at work, and it was pretty wet. Batten down the hatches!

Sorry for the late post, but suited up (pun intended) for Kilted Friday. This time my boss was in the office, who made a few jokes about my kiltedness, then got over it... not even a stink eye. Good to know and fortunate for me after some of the discussions about employers and kilts.

Now that the rain and reasonable temps have reached Northern California, I'm really eyeing the Tweed coats

Great kilts, would you mind revealing the tartan(?), and the blue hose with dark flashes are really sharp.

Thanks. It's difficult to tell in this photo, but the tartan is Black Watch. Some of them are MOD (Ministry of Defense) kilts which are very dark. It's easier to make out the pattern on the ones I made.

    Does this help?

    Not a lot, I guess.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
