    that is a beautiful sporran, but I could not see myself wearing it. A little expensive too.

    Whoo, that price! You will be paying for the workman's time/artistry.

    I have worked with feathers in jewelry and clothing (1969-ish). Terribly fragile things even if individually sewn on. I think this display is constructed with adhesive. I can see the quills of the breast feathers when looking close at the sporran.

    I like it, would never wear it. It seems a disposable (one time use) item, thus against my stingy-miserly nature.

    What exactly is, "...an experienced sporran wearer"?

    My reaction was that it would be awfully (overly) fragile, but something similar might be an interesting pattern to tool into a leather front, either with the cantle or without as a hunting sporran.

    It looks a lot like a Kate MacPhearson Sporran. She has made some beautiful ones from Owl, Pheasant, and Ducks.

    Definitely a sporran to be coddled, to be sure. Wouldn't wear it in the car with the seat belt, for instance. Nice work in the picture, though.
