Sure thing Tarheel! Just out of curiosity,what kinda pelts are ye using?

My most recent is marmot (groundhog). I backed a supple hide on saddle grade leather. I've worked with grey fox that I made a hand bag (gift) the way you did your sporran. I made trim for shooting jackets out of bobcat and deer (with the fur on) that I sealed the fur and made the skin as supple as possible.

I have seen that thread before and must say that it is genius of you to think of that for tassels! I may have to try that someday soon!
