My kids are quite excited to see the show tonight, my 7 year old son woke up this morning and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Rogue One is tonight!"
My dad took me to see ESB when I was 5, I fell asleep. It wasn't until years later that I got to see A New Hope and then Return of the Jedi, once VCRs became more accessible to the masses.

I'll be along shortly...probably next week. Never been much for opening weekends.
At our Scottish Christmas Walk here in Old Town Alexandria, VA earlier this month, we had a group of Star Wars people marching in the parade. Some of the Stormtroopers had kilts on, but the best was R2D2 in his kilt.
The wife and I are doing a "Star Wars Day at Sea" on Disney Cruise Lines this February. People dress up in costume on the one day.

I've seen every Star Wars movie on opening weekend if not opening night, my tickets are for tomorrow night as well, bought long ago when tickets were first made available... might try and get tickets tonight if I can, but all I found still available for tonight was in 3D

I've seen all the Star War movies in the theaters. I'm not much for the crowds found on opening nights. I'll see this one in the next couple of weeks. I'm hooked on the Star Wars saga though I'm much more of a Trekie.

Well, I just returned from the show with my family and my kids seemed to have the same expressions on their faces as I remember having, all but the youngest, who slept through half of the show, much like I did when I was her age.
I am really glad I had a chance to share that experience with my kids.

I've seen all of the Star Wars movies in the theater as well, most with one of my childhood friends. Considering he's a three-hour drive away recovering from heart surgery, we might not make it this time. We'll have to see how he's feeling after the holidays.
