Tartan Identification Help
Dear all,
First post on this forum, and it's a call for help. Could anyone help me to identify the tartan on these trews? I realise that, given the nature of the forum, such a garment is hardly de rigueur. I hope you will all forgive that - I'm an utter tartan neophyte, and this handsomely made, recently acquired as too beautiful to left go, garment is my first step in the right direction.

The seller was unable to identify them, and a chum of his more expert than he was similarly at a loss.
Best,
J.

Interesting, this looks like a variation of (or possibly rip-off) the Ibrox tartan. Is there any makers's label?

I haven't the garment to hand right now, but from memory I don't think so. I will check once we are reunited.

It looks like what some people are selling as the Pride of Scotland tartan.

Well they'd be wrong. Can you name names?
Having discussed with the designer of the origianl Ibrox tartan he confirmed that this version was not one of his designs and appears to be a rip-off of the original. Would be very interested to know if there is any maker's label.
